Template Playbook

How to write a killer Field notes post

Optimized for maximum viral distribution, shares, and algorithmic pickup across 2nd/3rd-degree networks.

✓ What works on LinkedIn

Give each bullet point a clear, punchy label before the explanation
Make item #1 or #2 counter-intuitive so readers keep scrolling
Format with clean bullet characters (• or numbers) for effortless scanning
Include at least one item that most creators are afraid to talk about

✕ Mistakes to avoid

Do not pad the list with obvious filler just to hit a round number
Do not make every item an abstract concept — give concrete tools or actions
Do not write huge blocks of text under each bullet point
Do not forget to ask readers which item resonated most with them

When to use this template

When breaking down a multi-step framework or curate resource stacks
When sharing common mistakes you diagnose every single week
To create high-save and high-repost content that compounds over time
When scanning convenience is key for busy founders and executives
